The Summer of 2015

Congratulations to all of the Cougars that just finished finals! This has been one of the greatest semesters of my college career, and I ended it with the best GPA since high school! WHOOP, WHOOP! Now that school is done for the next five months I need something to take up my time until Fall gets here and school resumes. Summer is my least favorite season. Add that plus the boredom that comes with summer and you have a Brittney on the verge of crazy. Although I will be interning/working full time I want to experience new things and accomplish new goals.

So here it is.... the most cliche blog post since seventh graders learned how to use the internet.

Brittney's bucket list for Summer 2015

Reading
Since I haven't done much actual reading (besides textbooks) because of school, I want to read and re-read some of the classics.

                   The Classics
  • A Tale of Two Cities- Charles Dickens
  • To Kill a Mockingbird- Harper Lee
  • Sense and Sensibility- Jane Austen
  • Jesus the Christ- James E. Talmage (currently reading)
                The not-so Classics
  • Bossy Pants- Tina Fey (currently reading)
  • Yes, Please!- Amy Poehler
  • The Jackie O biographies
Field Trips-
Okay, Utah is the greatest state in the entire world. It's a fact. There are so many great things to do and see here. I want to visit more places around here and explore!
  • Utah Museum of Art
  • The Narrows at Zion National Park
  • Antelope Island
  • Utah Symphony/Opera
  • Ballet West
  • BYU Museum of Art
  • The Cathedral of Madeline
  • Park City (Canyons, Olympic Park)
  • Utah State Capitol (best place ever!)
  • Utah Lake (It's actually fun and not disgusting... when it isn't killing innocent dogs)
New Experiences-
I want to learn and try new things, even if they end up being dumb!
  • Make Floral Arrangements
  • Design Fall Apartment Decor
  • Increase my sewing skills
  • Volunteer at the Juvenile Courts
  • Learn the game of Tennis
  • Find/Read more biographies about Teddy Roosevelt
  • Make Head Bows (#BOWGIRL)
  • Learn to paint flower canvases
  • Study for the LSAT
  • Make a quilt
  • LEARN TO BUDGET FINANCES
  • Learn how to change a flat tire
  • Tame a Mountain Lion, A moose, or an actual Lion ( this may take longer than the summer)
  • Re-learn the piano
  • after re-learning the piano, learn to play the pride and prejudice soundtrack... on the piano
Must-dos-
The one good thing about summer is more Brittney time and less time reading textbooks.
  • Heart Attack people
  • Prank Matt Maddix
  • Do some good deed every single day
  • Water Balloon Fight
  • Swimming (obviously)
  • Canyon Hot dog/S'mores roast
  • BBQ
  • Spend as much time as possible at the amphitheater (maybe reading)
  • Midnight Movie Premiers
  • Channel my inner Blair Waldorf... Every Single Day.
I've got FIVE months

Ready...Set....GO!
